Reflection

      If I compared myself to a 25% charged battery cellphone last second grading period, in this third grading period, I am a half charged battery cellphone like in the first grading period.

       I have learned a lot in our discussions. Our main topic is about the Microsoft FrontPage. I have also learned about the front page environment.

      Like in the second grading, there were no problems that I have encountered to my lessons. This period, we have our two practice teachers but they were able to discuss all the lessons briefly that’s why I understood it all. The problem is my laziness. Almost all of my blogs were rushed but I’m lazier last second grading than now. I know that I exerted more effort this grading period than the last grading that is why I am a 50% charged battery cellphone.  

 Last grading, I promise to my self that I will improve my blogs and grades and I was able to do it. This next grading, I will continue improving my grades and aim for a higher ranking. Instead of texting, I will be reviewing my notes. I know that I will be able to do it with the help of God.  

New Year, New Me!

New Year… New Beginning… New Hope… New Me! Every time New Year comes, we have that New Year’s resolution. The concept of this is to reflect upon self-improvement annually. We change our lifestyle for us to be better citizens.

I want to change four things in my lifestyle. My first goal is to stop having a left-over food when eating. I think this is one way for me to gain weight. Every time I am bored to our classes, I have nothing to do or I am nervous, I usually bit my nails. I want to stop this hobby because some of my friends are laughing when they are comparing my nails to their nails. They also said that my nails are like the nails of a child because they are very small. I think my first and second goals are easier than my third and fourth goals.  My third goal is to stop being sensitive and my fourth goal is to stop being jealous to my younger sister. I might be hard up to achieve those two goals but I’ll give my best in order for me to have a change. I need to do those four goals for the whole year.  As they said, nothing is impossible if you want it.

We should consider ourselves lucky because of the God’s Gift for us which is to witness and have again another year in this world with our love ones.

Essence of Christmas

God is Love. As He was born in a manger, He preached pure love, and in that special day, we celebrate the Christmas.

Christmas is the season of joy and peace. The essence of this season is sharing and forgiving. Everywhere we can see a lot of Christmas decorations that remind us the spirit of Christmas. We can also witness carols in every home. They said that Christmas is for children. One of their expectations is the fact that they would receive gifts from their godparents and other members of their family. It is not important for them if their gifts are expensive or not, what is important for them is they give it willingly. The big smiles of the children are already enough for the godparents to be happy. It is better to have a complete family than to have delicious meals during Christmas.

Some might think that this season is the most expensive because they can’t see and feel the real essence of Christmas which is to give a helping hand to those in need and to give comfort to the vulnerable. Forget hatred and bitterness and spread the Love which is the gift of God.

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities: Success for All

Gender equality is important for the success of everybody. What man can do, woman can also do.

Some of the traditions do not require women to go to school and they must stay at home. They do not have the opportunity to work in the office, be what they wanted to be like being a teacher, a chef, an accountant and be in the government service. They are only allowed to be a simple housewife. They are in charge of taking good care of their children and their husbands. I am against of these practices. It’s like they don’t trust the abilities of women. Everybody have their own talents and if women are only staying at home they would not be able to share those things. They closed the door for the women to enhance their talents and be worthy daughters of our nation.

Discrimination must be avoided because God created us as His assimilable that’s why we should treat our fellow-being equally.

Climate Change

Climate change exposes people to serious risks but it is likely caused by human activities.

There are many ways to avoid the excess of the greenhouse gases. By simple things we do, we can help and save mother earth like walking and taking the bicycle instead of driving the car.  By saving energy we can manage carbon footprint that will help us reduce greenhouse gases. Those are the practical ways done at home like turning the appliances off when not in use. We don’t only save in our electric bills, we also save mother earth. Another way is recycling. We can keep plastic carrier bags so that it will be reuse time after time. The best way to do is to plant more trees and avoid illegal logging. Trees absorb the carbon dioxide that is released in the atmosphere.

If climate change will continue, it will affect the crops of the farmers and that will cause economic problem. We must start those simple things to save not only our selves but also mother earth.

Reflection

                If last grading period I compared myself as a half charged battery cellphone, in this second period, I am a 25% charged battery cellphone during our ICT class.

       I have learned a lot in our discussions, the parts of a web browser and page address. We also tackled search engine. In every lesson that we had, there is an activity. The tag attributes, it was my favorite topic. We can put some designs to our html file.  

       Like in the first grading there were no problems that I have encountered to my lessons. This period, we have our practice teacher but she was able to discuss all the lessons briefly that is why I understood it all and our topics for this grading period are easier to memorize than the last grading period. The problem is my laziness. If in the first grading period, I only rushed one blog, now, two blogs were rushed. I became lazier that is why I was only 25% charged battery cellphone.

       This next grading I must do my best to improve my scores and blogs. Last grading, I told this but I wasn’t able to do it.
